My theme for the A to Z Blog Challenge @AprilA2Z during the month of April is ~ My Life Is My Masterpiece ~ Lessons Learned
“The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is mere tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward.”
– Amelia Earhart

There’s nothing more frustrating than being stuck with indecision. It’s like being paralyzed at the edge of a diving board the first time you climb the ladder to give it a try. Instead of going from person to person and asking them what they think you should do, there comes a time when we need to make that leap and ‘just do it’. It sure helps to start with the little decisions and work up the ladder to the big stuff.

Hi Srivi ….. That one got to me too. When is it considered ‘quitting’ and when is it considered ‘moving on and making a healthy change’. 🙂

I’ve gotten bogged down my indecision and usually I force myself to suck it up and make decide. What happens, happens.

Yup …. take a leap and ‘just do it’. Time passes and things work out in the end. 🙂

this is a little bit like my word “determination” it’s about being brave enough to make a decision and take the consequences that go with it. Leanne @ cresting the hill

Decision is a little bit like determination. You’re right! I really enjoy reading your ‘D’ post. Thanks! 🙂

I’m lucky that indecision is not something I normally struggle with. I tend to leap in all gung-ho even while others are dragging with indecision.
My problem is the anchor called self-doubt I drag along afterwards which weighs me down.

Yes ….. me too, Joanne! Procrastination and self-doubt. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

I do indecision better than most. I can waffle and worry my way into and out of most opportunities. Therefore, I appreciate your words of wisdom here. Now, if I can just remember then at the right moment…

Everyday we are faced with decisions. Some are simple. Some are trivial. Yet others. Others can be life changing. Not only for the individual trying to decide but also for the people around. Great post.

Yes …. those are the toughest decisions …. when we know it will affect those in our lives as well as ourselves.
Thanks! 🙂

I feel like I’m at that point in my writing. I’m asking people about whether is idea of a novel I have is worth writing. I’m trying to keep the sounding board to a minimum, but in the end, I have to make a decision on whether or not to write it. I keep telling myself that I’m going to write a novel. I just need to decide.

Decissions… sometimes I wish I could try one option, rewind and try the other one, rewind and try another way, … and decide then. But that’s not how life works and so a decision has to be made. Quickly, because the worst days are if one is stuck between two or more possibilities and doesn’t know what to do.
I came to the conclusion that there’s no such thing as a bad decision, if you don’t think about what would have happened if you’d decided for another option… If you do this you might end up in some sort of hell.
Like from A to C you’ve found great quotes for your word of the day. I’m looking forward to the following letters.

This post spoke to me because I always find myself in situations having to make difficult decisions. Sometimes there’s too many options which paralyses my decision making. Happy A to Z!
