Lean heavily on God within you, however you might understand that life-giving force to be.  In life, you’re dealing with people ~ human beings ~ who can let you down. (The wise counsel of my mother over the years. )  It seems like this is a lifetime lesson.  How to balance loving and trusting?  People who I thought had my back, didn’t.  People who I thought I could count on, I wasn’t able to.  And that’s OK.  I’ve learned lessons and became stronger along the way.

  1. Beautiful post. I loved the video. Amazing what they can do with the bodies and the trust it takes to even begin learning those moves. Such a great metaphor.

  2. Trust was one of the biggest things I tried to instill in my sons – as in, be consistent in your behaviour that others can trust you to do what you say you’re going to do, and speak the truth. In the same way, I tried to be that example for them.

I know that’s a different angle from the one you intended, but sometimes I wonder if trust is one of those chicken-and-egg things. Do we lose our ability to trust in ourselves because other’s have failed us so badly and we don’t feel worthy?

    • It’s been an intense month, Daisy! I’m trying to keep up with the AtoZ bloggers I’ve met through this challenge. I’ll be reading their posts long after this ends on the 30th! 🙂
