I’ve never tried actual meditation, but thoroughly enjoyed the video (and the second one that came on after that). “Just breathe” has amazing calming effects. Excellent advice in these troubled times. I can’t imagine getting along without cable, though. We watch a lot of sports and have a few favourite shows as well. News is confined to the local 11pm broadcast. It’s not as bad here in Canada, but Trump is still mentioned every damn time.

Most of the cable news is just repetition, over and over! I’m finding I’m streaming more movies on Amazon Prime and listening to more music. So far, I don’t miss cable or my landline. Thanks for stopping by, Debbie. 🙂

I stopped watching cable news last summer. Too unbalanced and noisy for me. I’m a quiet person by nature, so I get why you want to meditate. Stillness rocks.

Loved the calm feeling that came over me as I read your post. I have also been exploring mindfulness n meditation over past 2 yrs and it’s been joyful for me. I have checked newspapers n stopped switching to news channels. Ppl say I live in my bubbke- I say I am doing what makes me happy today!! 😊

It’s self-preservation in today’s climate! I read up on the news, choosing the more centered views of respected news outlets. Cable is too much!! I love how meditation teaches you to just let all that noise and chaos pass by and find your middle ground. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
