My Life Is My Masterpiece ~ Lessons Learned
My theme ~ Lessons Learned. I’ll be posting a word that begins with each letter of the alphabet that fits my theme. This blog/website has become one way to share about myself to my children, my grandchildren and my extended family who are scattered all over the country and the world. Hopefully, anyone who reads this will be in some way blessed by my throwing my words out onto the World Wide Web and into the Universe.
My About Page gives me the focus so that, as I age, I don’t forget what I worked so hard to learn. It’s going to be fun and challenging! I hope you’ll stick with me as I strive to meet my goal!!
********************
ARRIVAL ~ I’ve arrived at a place where looking back on the good and the bad along the way brings me a sense of peace and contentment. I recognize the girl, daughter, sister, woman, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend who traveled down these paths to be a strong human being who had her own sense of self always at the core of her life. A human being who decided to face life’s challenges with an attitude of hope and perseverance. It’s good to look back and to see that you’ve arrived at a good place in spite of those times of self-doubt and wavering.

As you grow older
You become wiser
You mature and realize your potential
The greatest gift of time, however, is that you discover your true inner strength and beauty which was
always within you but hidden before.
Look back on your life as the story of you.
Look forward to new adventures.
You’ve worked hard and prepared the way for some of the best days of your life.-Doe Zantamata

How refreshing to find someone else who shares my views on aging. Growing old has become strangely liberating and as you said, I have achieved some level of objectivity and look at my life from the outside. Ageing has helped me understand myself better and become more calm and content than I was as an ambitious young girl

Hi. Visiting from MSTL. I’m another one who calls my life a work-in-progress. Being a masterpiece at the same time…I might need to steal that quote! Pat

A great post. I love the quote we can be both a masterpiece and a work in progress at the same time. I will always be a work in progress but I hope getting wiser all the time.

Isn’t it a great quote? We’re learning lessons all through our life. Wiser and humbler as we age. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

I’m so glad I saw the #MLSTL post on Twitter, Leanne. This is a wonderful way for us to share our favorite posts. This seems a bit more doable for me than AtoZChallenge. 🙂 Congratulations on completing AtoZ 2018!

I like the feeling of having arrived. It’s nowhere where I thought I’d be, but I can go with it. I’m grateful to still be here.

Looking back over it all makes me grateful to still be here too, Ally. Not perfect but still a ‘work of art’. 🙂
