My Life is a Masterpiece ~ Lessons Learned
My theme ~ Lessons Learned. I’ll be posting a word that begins with each letter of the alphabet that fits my theme. This blog/website has become one way to share about myself to my children, my grandchildren and my extended family who are scattered all over the country and the world. Hopefully, anyone who reads this will be in some way blessed by my throwing my words out onto the World Wide Web and into the Universe.
My About Page gives me the focus so that, as I age, I don’t forget what I worked so hard to learn. It’s going to be fun and challenging! I hope you’ll stick with me as I strive to meet my goal!!

“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.”
~ John Lennon ~

I’ve always loved that sculpture Mary Lou – it depicts our vulnerability doesn’t it? And you’re also right in that quote about our wounds having the potential to turn us into somebody we don’t want to be – I’d hate that to happen and consciously work to stay positive even when things are getting me down.
Thanks for linking up with us at #MLSTL and I’ve shared this on my SM xx

We might get hurt being open-hearted by at least it’s real Leanne. That’s what I think the artist of the sculpture was trying to say about reaching out and taking that chance.. Thanks for sharing for #MLSTL

Hi Mary Lou and thank you for sharing this week at #MLSTL. I’m a big believer in having self-love and I just love the quote from John Lennon. He certainly was a poet taken too soon. Have a beautiful week.

So true Sue! I remember that day in 1980 and was able to visit Strawberry Fields in Central Park NYC in the 90’s.

I wonder how many people actually understand the importance of what you’ve written here. Love over fear, difficult to do but it is the way to keep going forward with hope.

I’m learning to step back and ‘hold space’ for myself and others so I don’t immediately react to fear. John Lennon’s message if so true. ❤
