Earth Day

“Earth Day is a time of the year to reflect on how your life impacts the planet. On this day, people think about new ways to reduce their carbon imprint and improve water quality, hold demonstrations to show their support for protections of their environment and get together to get their hands dirty and make earnest strides towards making the Earth a better, and healthier, place to live”

“Planting Trees And Wildflowers-As a present to the planet, many people plant trees and wildflowers on Earth day. This is not only done by individuals but also by different organizations all around the world. This is especially prevalent in many Central and South American countries such as Costa Rica.”

“Celebrations Through Art-All over the world, children often paint or draw pictures as school projects for this day. Many art galleries throughout the world also feature special exhibits that highlight the importance of this day.”

This past November 2018 I took part in the Nibvember 2018 Challenge.  Day 27 prompt was Lettering and I came up with the design below.  It’s easy to see where my inspiration came from as I’d participated in the A to Z Challenge Lessons Learned in 2016. So, feeling the call to try once again for A To Z Challenge 2019, I decided to sign up for this years using this design as my inspiration.

  1. Earth day is definitely a big deal. I work at a landfill and we celebrate with a small festival to spread awareness to the community. It saddens me to see how polluted and littered our world is, especially the oceans. So many animals are dying because of ignorance. I’m happy to see you spreading awareness. Joining from MLSTL!

  2. I love anything to do with keeping our earth safe and whole Mary Lou. We spend so much time gradually destroying it and it’s nice to think that for at least one day a year, people are actively doing something to refresh this beautiful planet we live on.
Thanks for linking up with us at MLSTL and I’ve shared on my SM 🙂
